Bob Bell has been a general contractor in Bakersfield for over 30 years designing churches, homes, commercial properties, and many other developments. Bob began his studies of architecture at Modesto Junior College and continued his education at CSU Stanislaus. He and his wife Michele have three children, Taylor, Brookie, & Evan. Bob's hobbies include golfing, traveling with his family, and serving his church, Valley Bible Fellowship, through leadership and ministry.

As of June 2013 the DBDC has formally become a 501C3 , focusing on building partnerships in the downtown community of Bakersfield in order to finish the redevelopment that the City started. Through grants, City partnership, business and private partnerships, and the good will and direction of the community the DBDC will be successful.
The 1st project, is a partnership with the City in the newly formed Arts District. The first step is hiring Urban Planners, to create a lighting, intersection,signage,and storefront master plan, that will draw all to a Clean, Safe,and Welcoming Downtown....
It's time to return our beautiful City to the status it once had, and the DBDC along with many partners are up to the task !!!!
